Vast Interior New Organik RangeVast Interior
The ORGANIK range is exclusive to Vast and sets the bar higher than ever in terms of sustainability, quality and finishing.

The family that manufacture this beautiful range of furniture, have managed the plantation from where it is sourced, for three generations. This hands on approach ensures that before this furniture has arrived into our showroom the family have already replanted a new tree in its place.

It is this connection of managing the forests that gives these craftsmen a special relationship with the timber throughout the process, and has encouraged them to push the boundaries in terms of "full use" of the tree. Less wastage has been achieved through bringing out the natural timber lines in each piece, so that each design is unique and follows the organic fingerprint from the original tree.

Managing these large slabs of timber requires much more drying time, and technical knowledge than standard furniture manufacturing, but the end result is worth it. A truly sensual range with each piece made by generations, to last for generations.

Available at the following stores:

Canberra, ACT

Warners Bay, NSW

Rutherford, NSW

West End, QLD

Mackay, QLD

Townsville, QLD

Geelong Gallery, VIC - Arrives soon

2014-07-03T10:49:372924Launching our 2014 range in StyleVast Interior
Phil & Amity (The Block 2013 - Allstar winners) were special guests last week at Vast's VIP night to celebrate the launch of our exclusive new 2014 range. The new season collection strongly features recycled timbers and bold colours with a hint of retro.

"We really enjoyed meeting Ross (founder) and the Vast store owners at the launch. We were really impressed with the Vast range and particularly with their philosophy of supporting the communities where they source their interesting and original pieces. It's great to see such a passionate and successful Aussie company (who make really great furniture!)" said Amity.

Ross Clayton , founder of Vast Interior, had this to say..

" Over the last few years the trend has been on heavy industrial which is great if you live in a converted warehouse, but the truth is most of our customers couldn't accommodate this look in their homes. So we were very excited last year to see colour, sleeker designs, and mix and match retro trends pushing into the market. Developing these new ranges has been much more fun for us and the look has the versatility to reach a much wider customer base then previous years.

"Lookout in 2014 as the colours get even bolder (yellow dining tables, screen printed dining chairs , and the materials more authentic (yes to recycled timber and steel... no to melamine, chrome and glass). Here at Vast we will continue to work these trends into our own designs and getting them to the market ASAP".
2014-07-03T10:49:242947The Wrong Word that Changed it all...Vast Interior

2014-07-03T10:48:393104Everything Old is New Again Vast Interior

2014-07-03T10:50:043114Furniture HeroesVast Interior
We were pretty happy to see some of our favourite pieces, including our Rafter range pop up in the Winter edition of Queensland Homes Magazine

2014-07-03T10:49:503158House Rules Series 3: Vast AppearancesVast Interior
As we approach the dream holiday home renovation we take a look back at our favourite rooms so far in House Rules. This season we were impressed with the design flair of the contestants in incorporating some of our favourite pieces into their renovation zones.

QLD's Dining Room by Ryan and Marlee:

This was homeowner Ben's favourite room in the house. Ryan and Marlee scored 19/20 from the judges, achieving the preppy eclectic house rule perfectly. Our Brace Dining Table and Bench were featured, adding an industrial touch to the room. This is balanced out with an eclectic mix of our white dining chairs (Jay Chair, Diamond Chair, and Andross Chair) around the other side of the table.

WA's Dining Room by Ben and Danielle:
Brian and Karina needed a 'desert coastal' makeover for their family home. Considering this, Ben and Danielle chose our Rafter Dining Table. This table is built to last, handcrafted from reclaimed eucalyptus and sustainable mango hardwood. Sticking with other pieces from the range, the Rafter Bench and Rafter Buffet also make an appearance, helping to give off those rustic coastal vibes.

Interestingly enough, contestants from last season's House Rules also choose items from the Rafter range for the Townsville house reno, turning the buffet into a one of a kind rustic bathroom vanity and finished off the living room with the Rafter coffee and lamp tables!

WA's Living Room by Ryan and Marlee:

Another favourite from the WA house, this room was worked on tirelessly by Ryan and Marlee. They achieved a balance of both desert and coastal using terracotta and hints of copper, as well as beiges and blues, seen in our luxurious Adele patterned chairs. A recurring appearance was made by our copper Punch Stools, where they functioned as both a planter and a stool.

Want the look? The contestants chose an array of our timber products, from beds to daybeds, and cabinets to coffee tables. Check it out here:

Zone 1: Front Deck - Ryan and Marlee

Featured: Samson Daybed

Who doesn't love a good daybed? Our Samson daybed features twice in this home, and crops up first at the entrance. They styled it beautifully with hints of green and royal blue.

Zone 2: Rear Deck - Ben and Danielle

Featured: Mammoth Dining Table, Wilson Cross-back Dining Chairs, Halo Pappasan Patio Chair

The rear deck won the audience choice poll and it's no wonder - It's an entertaining delight! Judge Joe Snell said our Mammoth Dining Table was "just fantastic", and we love it paired with the Wilson cross back chairs. The Halo Pappasan chair also fits perfectly with the outdoor lounge setting. This team certainly deserved their perfect score.

Zone 3: Master Bedroom and Verandah - Steve and Tiana

Featured: Stark 4 Poster King Bed, Diamond Chair, Nesting Pappasan Chairs, Round Side Table, Reclaimed Indian Cabinet

The Master Bedroom featured one of the key pieces in the house - the Stark 4 poster bed. Tiana fell in love with this bed at our Hervey Bay store and she knew it would hit the house rules, saying "if that doesn't scream luxury then I don't know what does!" They were set on bringing blue into the room, and did this with our pastel blue Diamond Chair. The Master led onto their verandah where we loved what they'd done with our nesting Pappasan chairs, round side table, and reclaimed indian cabinet.

Zone 4: Exterior and Living Room - Bronik and Corrine

Featured: Viva Coffee Table, Viva TV Cabinet, Viva Buffet, Groove Mirror, Samson Daybed

Bronik and Corrine sure served up a relaxing lounge area for the future holiday home owners. They featured Vast furniture throughout, using the Viva range. This included the coffee table, tv unit, and buffet. We love how they changed the buffet by adding some of their wallpaper and glass over the top. For a finishing touch our Groove mirror was placed above it. Outside, they used another Samson Daybed, I guess you can never have too many! This team also scored 20/20, what a week!

Want the look?
